We Aim To Empower Others
My Goal
Coming from a privileged background, my goal is to create a better future for everyone. Being Indian, I am able to relate to the struggles experienced by Indian women who are unable to have a decent standard of living. As someone who has traveled across the world and seen the beautiful rainforests in Costa Rica and its animals, I do not want to take the Earth for granted, and I want to promote climate justice. In addition, as a resident of California, I feel that it is necessary to help out the homeless, and anyone who is food insecure through my volunteering at Catholic Food Charities of Santa Clara County. Finally, I believe in upliftment for those who are underprivileged which is why I partnered with Room to Read to raise money for 50 children for them to have access to foundational reading and writing resources. I hope to continue with more ambitious projects such as building a town library for those without access to educational resources.
Experience
I have raised over 1,300 dollars for the Sierra Club initiative online through my website rohan-for-environment. Currently, I am working on two new not for profit initiatives which you can find the information for in the portfolios section. One of them works to combat the poverty faced by Indian women who make textiles, and another to give young children access to educational resources such as books and schooling. The other is a partnership with Room to Read which raised $2500 for 50 children to have access to reading and writing resources.

We Aim to Build a Better World
We are an organization that aims to make the world a better place. Currently, we have three projects that we are a part of that hope to achieve this. These projects are working with and empowering children through providing the educational resources, offering Indian women places to sell their textiles, and raising money for planting trees and protecting the environment.
